Satellite: TERRA Low Tech Park

The TERRA Low Tech Park is an experimental project aimed at discovering, reviving, and testing various low-tech and off-grid tools and techniques. Low-tech solutions are durable, understandable, repairable on-site, recyclable, and accessible to many, offering an empowering alternative to high-tech visions of the future.

Located in Vorbuse—eight kilometers from Tartu city center—this hub was established in 2023 under the leadership of TEOkoda members Madis Vasser and Maria Muuk. Activities have included experimenting with log building alongside faculty and students from the Viljandi Culture Academy, completing a winter horse-logging course with Priit-Kalev Parts, hosting youth organizations, and testing various energy production methods. Participation in workshops and community work days is also possible.
